This MPF Biodrum Rotator 20 has a Drum Filter with a High Flow Screen of 120 microns and an RBC (Rotating Biological Contactor) attached to it. Filled with Hel-x 13 as Bio-media (995 m²/m³)

Hel-x is a bio-media to which nitrifying bacteria adhere. These bacteria break down ammonia and nitrite.

Operation
Hel-x finds its origin in industrial wastewater treatment. From this the product is optimized for use in pond filters.

The Rotator can also be filled with, for example, Sera siporax pond (link). This considerably increases the filter surface and allows more feeding, and allows you to house more fish in your pond.

A single liter of sera siporax pound is sufficient to supply 1,000 liters of pond water with 20 pond fish with a length of 10 cm or a comparable stock (corresponds to approx. 1.5 kg of fish that receive max. 40 g per day as quality food) sustainably made to organically clean your pond.

The RBC is a rotating trickle/drip filter concept that requires no pump head! The RBC is 40% submerged and 60% above water for maximum oxygen saturation.

The great secret of this design is that oxygen can contain up to 4%* in water and 20% in air. This gives the pond bacteria the best conditions to perform their work efficiently.

The Drum and Rotator in this filter rotate continuously, so that more contact/sieve surface is created and a higher flow through the filter is created.

The Rotating movement of the RBC ensures that a Trickle/drip filter is created without a head. The 250nM industrial motor of 60 watts makes the rotation of the RBC.

Capacity:

This RBC has a capacity to carry 50 liters of bio-media material. As standard, this RBC is equipped with Helix 13 with a biological surface of 995m2/m3 (can also be filled with, for example, Siporax if desired).

The Makoi BioDrum Rotator 20 has a capacity to pump 15-20m3 per hour, and is suitable for koi ponds up to 20m3

The filter comes standard with a 2 year warranty (excl. filter cloth)
